Luís Cruz aka Louu Cruz

Luis studied at the School of Music of the Andes, in Bogota (Colombia), Havana’s National Art School (Cuba), as well as training in film and multimedia orchestration in Zurich (Switzerland). He has played bass on a wide range of projects, many earning Latin Grammy nominations, and has worked for labels including EMI Music Colombia and played at major festivals in America, Europe and Asia. He has also held the position of jazz bass professor and chair at schools and universities in Colombia. For the past ten years he has lived in Zurich, where he has worked for major local artists including Alina Amuri, winner of the Music Swiss Award for best newcomer, and renowned film and TV music producers Adrian Frutiger and Fabian Sturzenegger, as well as being production assistant on various films and TV series.
