Juan Luis Leprevost was the founder of the legendary band Ojos de Brujo. He was co-writer, bassist and producer of their first records “Vengue” and “Barí” as well as being co-writer of “Techarí”, for which he won a Latino Grammy. He is currently managing the artistic direction, song writing, production and instrumentation of the flamenco fusion band Calima, with whom he was also nominated for a Latino Grammy for the song “Azul”, the group’s first record. Canijo’s bass-playing artistry can be heard in the music of a huge range of bands of many different styles on Barcelona’s underground clubbing scene.
