Jorge Ramirez-Escudero Susaeta aka Hyperpotamus

Jorge Ramirez-Escudero has been active musically since he was five, when he first studied piano. Since then, his life has been one long musical obstacle course where he has done everything possible to live for and from music alone. At twelve he had already taught himself drums, guitar, bass and singing (as well as the aforementioned piano), going on to spend his teenage years as pianist and drummer in bands of various styles. Not long after, he turned to soundtrack composition and production eventually becoming principal composer at Alejo Stivel’s ASK studios, where he learned his chops making music for advertisements and musical productions professionally. At the same time, he launched his solo project as a one-man vocal orchestra – Hyperpotamus – which he would successfully tour around forty countries across all continents over the following twelve years. Ramirez-Escudero currently runs his own studio where he writes and produces music for commercials, television, cartoons, dance and theatre. And he finally has a grand piano in his living room!
