Neo Soul

Soul music has its roots in African Americans’ deep need to overcome the cruel reality they had to live through every day. That’s how it got the name ‘Soul’. Somehow it gets into your spirit and carries you off into the heavens.

This new album by SaraoMusic, our in-house Production Music label, is a tribute American soul music from the late 60s until now, mixing Nu-Soul and Nu-Roots with Pop tunes. It’s a collection of 14 tracks based round old-school drums and percussion and funky bass and guitar, Rhodes and Hammond keyboards, a six-piece horn section, string orchestras and full-on vocals. All this is brought to classic arrangements made with production that sounds better than ever.
