True jazz was born in the 1910s, over a hundred years ago. They say that these days not many kids listen to it, and all you hear about is reggaeton, hip-hop and electro. But that doesn’t stop jazz being one of those aromatic spices that turns a good meal into an exquisite dining experience.
This new album, Reggaeton Jazz, illustrates exactly that. There are piano melodies, trumpet and vocals, all with a jazzy feel and all blended in with reggaeton, dembow and dancehall.
