Sye Spence

New York City-based Sye stands out with her album MORE, released on Spotify. It’s a multi-media work, made up of audiovisual pieces dealing with love, loss and self-actualization. Sye, whose inspiration comes from the space between the audio and the visual, is working to own her entire image as a performer by becoming her own creative director. She likes to be in control of all aspects of the performance, including not only the sound but also the set design, lighting and costumes.
All her previous works, featured on NPR, Pigeons & Planes, CMJ and Afropunk, were met with excellent reviews.
